The last post: “until the cows come home”

All good things come to an end… a saying about until the cows come home (see below for cows going home)… and, y’know, stuff like that.

I am transferring all my blogging to one site – making this the last post here.

I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who looked at my photos, liked some of them and even subscribed to the blog.

I started this blog purely as an outlet for some of the pics I take. I’m not a photographer by any means. So, getting some lovely feedback from so many of you really has meant a great deal to me.

The new site is my main one. You’ll find a mix of words and pictures. The content of the written pieces covers everything from the media through to politics.

I hope you’ll stop by, and maybe even consider subscribing. If you find it’s not to your tastes, do let me know. I’ll look into setting up separate feeds for the photos.

Thanks again.

Fiery cloud, and an escape trail…

I wish there wasn’t as much tree in this shot as there is.  I fired off about 15 shots, on two different cameras. This was probably the strongest. I spotted the cloud, which I thought looked like it was on fire, while I was on the ground floor of my house. I took this shot from my son’s bedroom window – the highest point I could get to, before the light changed too much. I had no idea when I starting shooting that a plane would come into view.

Climb every mountain…

In July 2010 I spent a weekend camping and climbing in Snowdonia, Wales.  It was a trip organised by my eldest son’s school. The whole class went, each child took a parent with them, and it was to mark the end of their final year in primary school. It was one of the best weekends of my life.
